Sometimes a dirty drive can feel like a broken drive, but it just needs to be cleaned up. Thanks for clarifying, I was trying to do it in Finder. This disc image is too small and lacks some data. If your dumping program saved the disc image as several parts, you need to merge them into one file.
Errors were found in 2 blocks in the DATA partition. This disc image has an unusual size. This will likely make the emulated loading times longer. You will likely be unable to share input recordings and use NetPlay with anyone who is using a good dump. What are you using to dump your game?

If there are fingerprints all over the underside of the disc, then wipe them off with a soft cloth and be careful not to scratch the disc. Likewise, a lot of scratches from mishandling can ultimately render a disc useless. If your Wii game disc has any cracks in it, you can pretty much forget using it. The same goes for deep scratches on the topside of the disc, as this is actually more sensitive that the underside.
Another thing you can do is get a can of compressed air and blow out the inside of the Wii.
